Bahamas Resort Offers Free Stays to Guests with COVID-19

A resort in the Bahamas is offering guests a free stay or private flight if they test positive for COVID-19 while staying there.

When they arrive at Baha Mar resort, guests have to take a COVID-19 test. If they test positive for the virus, guests can choose between getting a private flight bake to the US or free 14-day stay.

The offer is part of the resort’s “Travel with Confidence” program, which started in February 2021. It’s intended to help people who have caught COVID-19 while traveling to the Bahamas, since it’s only available to guests if Baha Mar is their first destination within the country.

To even be allowed to enter the bahamas, people must test negative for the virus no more than five days before they arrive.

Guests who choose to stay at the resort will be given a free suite for a 14-day quarantine, or until they test negative for COVID-19. They will also be given $150 per person to spend on food every day that they are in quarantine.

The 2,300-room Baha Mar resort is in the capital of the Bahamas, Nassau, on New Providence Island.

While on the island, travelers will have to follow local COVID-19 rules too, such as wearing a face mask in most public places. And just like people living there, travelers that don’t follow the mask-wearing rules could have to pay $200, spend one month in jail, or both.

I never have got sick while traveling in another country, but my mother had got sick in another country. When we went to in Hongkong, it is the first time we travel don’t rely on a travel guide. I don’t know what’s the problem now a day, she told me she feels cold and has fever. So we went to the pharmacy, and she got some medicine. It is too difficult to get some medicine in another country. Therefore, we always take medicine like fever, headache, and stomach from Korea.
